Parkway replacement

Romeoville contributes $75 toward each parkway tree, already reflected on its order form; residents choose from an approved list and buy through the Village's designated landscaper. Applications are due May 10 for spring and September 10 for fall planting (Village of Romeoville). Once planted in the right-of-way, the tree becomes Village property, and the Village handles its pruning and removal (same page).

Wires

Branches on the line to your house? ComEd will drop or de-energize the service line for free so a contractor can trim, with at least 5 days' notice (ComEd). The bigger street lines are on ComEd's 4-year trim cycle (same source).

What we couldn't find

We didn't find Romeoville storm reports or a private-tree permit rule we could cite. Ask the Village before a large removal.
